The Valencian Cluster of Energy Industries - AVAESEN - , created in February 2006, is a non-profit association of energy companies established in the Valencian region. One of its main goals is to promote the development and innovation and research in the Valencian energy sector and impulse its internationalisation.

Nowadays, AVAESEN encompasses over 175 member companies, representing 80% of the energy companies in the region.

AVAESEN looks after the interests of its members, in particular, and the development of energy sector, in general. Its main objectives are:

• To promote networking between partners, fostering business profitable exchanges and R&D cooperation.
  
  
• To find the best opportunities for business partners in an increasingly globalized market. 
  
  
• To promote modernization in management of production and marketing innovative activities. 
  
  
• To promote the rational use of energy, increase energy security and fight against climate change.

The Cluster structure offers its members the opportunity to actively engage in its activities and actions through their contributions to the Working Groups and committees created for this purpose.

AVAESEN is officially recognized as partner within national and regional forums, as advisory member of the National Commission of Energy and of the Valencian Energy Agency (AVEN). Moreover, AVAESEN holds the Energy board of the Valencian Edification Institute (AVE) and exercises advisory functions for the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDEA).
